Mounting
It is important that you are familiar with the machine your EZ-Puller will be used in. If the machine has a wedge lock mounting system for holding square tooling, the body of the bar puller may cover the outboard tightening bolt. If this is the case, the tool will need to be moved away from the center of the turret to access that bolt. Many times, this will cause interference with the way covers of the machine. If this is the case, the better mounting option is the 1.000″ round mounting, either standard or low profile. With this option, the tool will be held in an I.D. tool holder. Please look at the pdf diagrams below of mounting options before ordering.

Where Our Expanded Capacity EZ-Puller Comes In Handy
The Expanded Capacity EZ-Puller fits high-volume production shops, lights-out machining operations, and facilities that switch bar materials on the same machine. On high-volume runs, a bar puller CNC tool takes over bar advancement on every turret to eliminate the manual step.
For lights-out machining, shops that want to know how to program a CNC bar puller for unattended production will benefit from the direct setup: index the puller, set the X-axis endpoint, and let the machine run the full bar.
Expanded Capacity EZ-Puller: FAQs
How to program a CNC bar puller?
Index the Expanded Capacity EZ-Puller to the bar stock via a tool-change command, then set the X-axis endpoint to match the desired advance distance. Programming a CNC bar puller varies by machine control; you can refer to the setup instructions for centerline alignment guidance.
What is the difference between the EZ-Puller and the Expanded Capacity EZ-Puller?
The Expanded Capacity model handles round stock range to 2.000 in. (50.8 mm), up from 1.750 in. (44.5 mm) on the standard EZ-Puller. Mounting options, warranty, and spring kits are identical across both EZ-Puller models.
Does the Expanded Capacity EZ-Puller support lights-out machining?
Yes. The Expanded Capacity EZ-Puller advances bar stock on each CNC cycle with no operator involvement. Lights-out machining with this tool requires no coolant and no gripping fingers, making it a dependable choice for unattended production.
Which spring should I use for my material?
Use 95A for steel and stainless steel, 80A for aluminum and general applications, and 70A for thin-wall or delicate materials (max pull speed 100 IPM). Replacement spring kits are available separately.
Accudyne Products understands the importance of bar puller CNC tooling for CNC lathes, with a product line that eliminates the need for expensive bar feeders and allows for continuous part production. The Expanded Capacity EZ-Puller ships same day, supports lights-out machining, and fits virtually every CNC turning center in production.
