Key Benefits of BigEZ
The BigEZ shares the same core engineering as the standard EZ-Puller, with upgrades suited for larger stock. Here’s what that means in practice:
- Universal machine compatibility. We assemble this tool to order so it fits your exact turret specifications perfectly.
- Adjustable grip via spring durometer. Swap urethane springs to match your material: 95A for steel and stainless, 80A for aluminum and most general applications, 70A for light-duty or thin-wall materials (max pull speed 100 IPM).
- Rapid deployment. Our facility configures standard SAE and metric models and ships them the exact same day.

2-Year Limited Warranty*
This warranty covers all moving parts against defects in workmanship, material as well and WEAR! **
* Warranty does not cover tools which have been damaged due to misuse, such as: incorrect installation, failure to follow the instructions that are provided with your product, or machine crashes due to improper setup, or faulty programming.
** For EZ-Puller, warranty includes gripper arms, pivot pins, gripper pins, lifters, urethane springs and material grippers.
Mounting
It is important that you are familiar with the machine your EZ-Puller will be used in. If the machine has a wedge lock mounting system for holding square tooling, the body of the bar puller may cover the outboard tightening bolt. If this is the case, the tool will need to be moved away from the center of the turret to access that bolt. Many times, this will cause interference with the way covers of the machine. If this is the case, the better mounting option is the 1.000″ round mounting, either standard or low profile. With this option, the tool will be held in an I.D. tool holder. Please look at the pdf diagrams below of mounting options before ordering.

How the BigEZ Works
Like all EZ-Pullers, the BigEZ requires proper centerline alignment before the first cycle. Set the centerline to match your bar stock diameter, then program the turret to the correct Z-axis coordinate. From there, the cycle runs automatically: the turret indexes to position, the urethane springs engage the stock, the chuck opens, and the machine pulls the bar to the programmed length.
The machine programmer directs the turret to the Z-axis coordinate. The tool engages the material, the urethane springs grip the stock firmly, the chuck opens, and the machine pulls the material to the exact programmed length. This repeatable mechanical cycle eliminates manual operator intervention completely. Machinists can monitor multiple machines simultaneously while the lathe runs unattended.
BigEZ: FAQs
What materials can the BigEZ handle? The tool pulls steel, aluminum, titanium, brass, copper, and industrial plastics safely. The urethane contact points grip the material without leaving deep indentations on the raw stock.
Will this attachment fit my specific machine? Yes. The tool fits virtually every turning center on the market. We configure the specific shank dimensions to match your machine before shipping.
How do I adjust the gripping pressure? You adjust the physical tension by swapping the internal urethane springs. Lighter durometers protect thin-walled tubing, while heavier springs handle dense metal rods.
The BigEZ is in stock, assembled to your machine’s specs, and ships the same day. If you’re running larger bar stock and want to eliminate manual advancement, it’s worth a conversation.
